A variety of phone manufacturers like to cram extra features onto their display
Higher resolution display tends to charge a premium price for their phones
High resolution is better for video and the draw of something to an eye but they aren’t always the most useful
Display focuses are being caught up in the LED/OLED display wars, it creates the expected visual impact but colors aren’t really what’s needed for awesome visuals. We think the greater focus is necessary on Mobile HDR support to get products that you can see.
